Lydia and Kristien met on the dance floor during the Osterimprofestival 10 years ago,
and remained in playful connection ever since. Since 2016 they organize Wild & Still
dance retreats together. They choreographed as well a dance performance for children.
Lydia Müller is a professional dancer and dance teacher from Germany and Holland
now based in Portugal. She has been working in several professional dance companies
and interactive streettheater performances. She has been performing together with
Ezequiel Sanucci with Tango Now and is choreographing her own children
dancetheater performances.
Lydia has been teaching contact improvisation, contemporary dance, Argentine tango,
contact tango, African dance, yoga & meditation and more from children to adults. She
is guiding and organizing dance retreats in Germany, Holland, Portugal and La Palma.
Lydia’s quality in teaching is to guide the whole group into a journey of creativity,
playfulness and joy.
Lydia is a creative person expressing herself through dance, movement, improvisation,
connection, music and being a pure, enthousiaste human being.
Kristien Sonnevijlle is a dancer/vocalist with a background in physical theater.
Specialized in improvisation as a performing art, ‘instant composition’. An
independant artist active in several constellations creating performances, spontaneous
and more choreographed work. Summers in France and winters in India were spent in
meditation retreats. For Kristien, movement, vocal work and meditation are deeply
connected and inform each other. Japanese butoh dance helped her to further develop
this connection.
Since 2009 she offers movement retreats with dance, voice, bodywork and meditation,
in collaboration with other teachers/facilitators. Teaching, her improvisation skills and
careful listening enable her to be in tune with what is needed in a group (process) and
for the individual. Her classes have been described as ‘deep play’, moving work
brought in a light way. She is also a bio dynamic Cranio Sacral therapist.
